#Cnc usb controller mk3 windows 7 driver update
since you know the mk2 works with the first 2, i would go with the unit is defective and try to try it on another computer, and try to update the firmware. the mk3 is not compatible with windows 7, the driver is conflicting with another driver, or the unit is defective. Hmm, i am not a windows person but does it not use the same driver for both the mk2 and mk3, and if the mk2 works as expected and the mk3 does not, there are only 3 possibilities.
since the controller never goes beyond the first screen set and not to the "please start maschine or.", it does sound like a driver issue. You have to press shift plus channel for midi mode. installed (latest) and it won't communicate with that, either. shouldn't it? I should note that I also have the Controller Editor 2.2.2. The driver should let me AT LEAST get into Midi mode. No matter how many times I uninstall and reinstall. It's not connected to a USB hub, and I'm using the official NI USB cable (and I tried several others). Installing the basic driver (5.0.1), it seems that my MK3 is stuck on the "MASCHINE" logo (left screen) and "Groove Production Studio" on the right. I love the full color screens showing me what the knobs/buttons/pads are assigned to, which helps me do a lot of stuff with Reaper, that I prefer to do, over the Maschine 2.7.2 software. is use my MK3 in MIDI mode, with Reaper, for various reasons. Using my Maschine MK2 white license for the latest software (2.7.2). bought off and on, transferred license, blah blah blah.
